Counselor In Training (CIT) Program

(Volunteer Program for Ages 13-14)

With an emphasis on service, initiative, and leadership, the City of Palo Alto Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program provides an opportunity for teens ages 13 and 14 to take a lead in our historic summer camps. CITs are mentored by camp staff to build leadership skills, gain experience, and earn community service hours. CITs will get a similar work experience as do Palo Alto part-time staff, complete with training and held to the same standards, though on a volunteer basis. A great way to gain valuable skills to add to your resumes and college applications! Please note that CITs must complete an application and interview to participate in this program. Upon completion of a successful interview, CITs will be provided a registration code.
