Summer Camp Staffing Opportunity

Are you ready to embark on a summer adventure as part of the City of Palo Alto's Summer Camp program? We're excited to announce opportunities for Camp Counselors, Assistant Site Directors, and Site Directors to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of children in the beautiful Foothills Park and Mitchell Park.

  • Starting rate is $17+/hour or more, depending on experience.

  • Applicants must be able to attend the mandatory In-Service training week (June 3 to 7).

  • Applicants must commit to working at least 6 out of the 8 weeks of summer.

Camp Counselor Position:

As a Camp Counselor, you'll have the chance to lead kids in exciting activities like sports, games, field trips, and arts and crafts. Your primary focus will be to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for campers, while also nurturing their social skills, teamwork, and personal growth.

Assistant Site Director Position:

In the role of Assistant Site Director, you'll play a key role in guiding Camp Counselors and Counselors in Training. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with safety policies, guidelines, and procedures. You'll actively engage in planning and leading activities, creating a secure and fun atmosphere for all participants.

 

Site Director Position:

As a Site Director, you'll work closely with Camp Coordinators and the Assistant Site Director to oversee the implementation of guidelines, safety policies, and procedures. Your mission will be to plan and lead activities that offer both safety and excitement, including sports, games, field trips, and arts and crafts.
