About the Event
Camp Euglena is a two-day science camp focused on introducing the euglena (yoo-glee-nuh) to young students.
The euglena is an amazing green microscopic organism; under the microscope, it looks kind of like a green pear with a long tail.
Recently, many discoveries have been made on the euglena and its involvement in the heath, beauty, and sustainability fields.
At this camp, we will be doing many fun lessons and activities including (but not limited to) playing Game of Euglena Life!, Jeopardy, making euglena cookies, and much more.
We will be learning of 1) what in the world the euglena is, followed by 2) all its uses and developments before finally connecting the ideas in 3) current problems and solutions regarding climate change and sustainability.
Lunch will be provided, and as there are only 13 spaces, make sure to sign up soon!
Hope to see you there!
